Hanoi - Halong - Hue - Danang- Hoi An - HCM - Mekong Delta - Cu Chi - Siem Reap (Angkor Wat) - HCM

Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi

Arrival at Ha Noi airport and transfer to your hotel.  Afterwards, enjoy a 1 hour cyclo tour in Hanoi's Old Quarter followed by a Water-Puppet repsentation.  Dinner in a lovely restaurant.

Day2: Hanoi

Breakfast at the hotel followed by the visit of Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum (closed on Mon. and Fri.), the One Pillar Pagoda - one of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam, built in 11th century and shaped as a lotus flower-, the Temple of Literature - the first National University built in 1070 - and the museum of Fine-Arts. Lunch at restaurant. Visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, Quan Thanh Temple, Hoan Kiem lake, Ngoc Son Temple. Before dinner (around 7pm), enjoy some free time for shopping or exploration of the Old Quarter by yourself.

Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay

Breakfast in the Hotel. Drive to Halong city through lush rice paddies and beautiful landscapes.  Around noon, check-in aboard a traditional junk followed by a fresh seafood lunch. Afternoon cruise through the   Bay - the Eighth Wonder of the World, where you will appreciate incredible views of the 3000 beautiful islands located in the Bay. Dinner on board.

Day 4: Halong Bay - Hanoi

Breakfast on board followed by a morning cruise through the bay slowly returning to the pier.  Fresh seafood lunh on board. Tranfser back to Hanoi in the afternoon, stopping at a local handicraft production shop. Check-in at the hotel followed by some free time before dinner. Dinner at a restaurant in Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi - Hue

Breakfast in the Hotel and transfer to Noi Bai airport to take the morning flight to Hue. Arrival in Hue and transfer to your Hotel. Lunch in restaurant followed by the visit of the Ancient Imperial Citadel. Free time before dinner in a restaurant around 7:30pm.

Day 6: Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An

After breakfast, short boat ride on the romantic Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda - built in the end of 16th century, it is one of the most beautiful pagodas in Vietnam . Transfer by car to Danang.   The road is panoramic, especially when its reaches the top of Hai Van pass. Lunch in a restaurant in Danang. Visit of the local Cham Museum whose Charm art collection is the largest in the World. Continue the road to Hoi An, a beautiful UNESCO World Heritage site.  Check- in at the hotel.  The rest of the afternoon is free for personal exploration of the city.  Dinner around 7:30pm.

Day 7:  Hoi An

After breakfast at the hotel, walking tour of the city.  You will see the 400 year-old Japanese-Chinese Bridge , Phuc Kien Pagoda and Hoi An Museum. Lunch at a local restaurant.  In the afternoon, trip to a lantern workshop to learn the techniques involved and then create your own. Finish the day with a sunset boat trip on the Thu Bon River to Thanh Ha pottery village.Dinner at restaurant.

OVERNIGHT IN HOI AN

Day 8:  Hoi An - Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh Ville

Afetr breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Da Nang airport by car.  Morning flight from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh. Transfer directly to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh. Lunch at restaurant. In the afternoon, Hochiminh city tour with visits to Thien Hau Pagoda, China Town, a Production Center of Lacquer-ware and the Museum of History.  Free time to discover the city or relax. Around 19:30, dinner in a local restaurant.

OVERNIGHT IN HO CHI MINH

Day 9: Ho Chi Minh Ville - Mekong Delta

After breakfast at the hotel,  take the road to the Mekong Delta, the lusciously green part of southern Vietnam, and head for Vinh Long (130 km South of Saigon, 3 hours) midway between My Tho and Can Tho.  Arrive at Vinh Long - Cai Be Harbor and take a boat ride (12 passengers per boat for 5 hours including village stop) abord a long roofed boat. Visit a fishing harbor and a workshop producing sweet, popcorn, and ceramic. Continue rowing along Tien Giang River , a branch of the Mekong River to the next village. Visit an ancient house and see the different ways of rural life. Enjoy lunch in the lovely orchid garden of Mr. Sau Giao , a typical restaurant of the Mekong Delta. Special minority traditional music entertainment.  Then, continue rowing into small arroyos and visit a primary school where local pupils welcome you by doing performances. A short walk will lead you to a bonsai garden and a huge fruit garden where you will have the opportunity to taste tropical fruits. Continue rowing back to Vinh Long where your vehicle is awaiting tlo bring you to your Hotel.  Free time before dinner in a local restaurant.

OVERNIGHT IN VINH LONG

Day 10: Ving Long - Cu Chi - Ho Chi Minh Ville

After breakfast, drive from Vinh Long to Cu Chi.  Have lunch in Cu Chi before explore its impressive tunnel network. The tunnels were used during the war by Viet Cong soldiers to stage surprise attacks on American forces.  The size of the tunnel network will amaze you both ways: the number of rooms, corridors and tunnel is incredible so the total area covered by the network is very vast, but at the same time by the narrowness of the corridors. Around 17:00, head back to Ho Chi Minh City for dinner.

OVERNIGHT IN HO CHI MINH

Day 11: Ho Chi Minh Ville – Siam Reap (Cambodia)

In the morning, after breakfast, transfer to the airport for a short flight to Siem Reap. Arrival at Siem Reap airport and transfer by private vehicule to your hotel for check in. Siem Reap was the capital of the Khmer Kingdom from the 10th to the 16th century. Visit Ta Prohm temple and then proceed to see Banteay Srey temple, which is said to be the most beautiful of all. Created out of pink sandstone the “Citadel of Women” is intricately carved and contains some of the most detailed and fine bas-reliefs in Cambodia .  Dinner at local restaurant around 7:30pm.

OVERNIGHT IN SIAM REAP

Day 12: Siam Reap - Angkor Wat

After breakfast at hotel, visit the Southern Gate of Angkor Thom: Bayon, Terraces of Elephants & Leper King. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Ta Promh and then the magnificent World Heritage site of Angkor Wat. In the evening walk to the top of Phnom Bakheng and watch the sunset over Angkor Wat. Dinner at a restaurant.

OVERNIGHT IN SIAM REAP

Day 13: Siam Reap - Ho Chi Minh or Hanoi

Breakfast at hotel. Visit the Tonle Sap Lake to see the floating village and the lifestyle of its people. Lunch at a local restaurant. Free time for shopping until transfer to the airport to take the late afternoon flight to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City , depending on your taste. Dinner around 8:00pm, just after check-in to your hotel.

OVERNIGHT IN HANOI OR HO CHI MINH

Day 14: Hanoi or Ho chi Minh Ville - End of services

 

After breakfast at the hotel, the rest of the day is free till the time of the transfer back to the airport.
