In the evening board the overnight sleeper train to Lao Cai on the Chinese border.

Day 2 (Sat): LaoCai – CanCau – Bac Ha
|

Morning drive to the mountain town of Bac Ha to visit Can Cau Market, one of the most exotic tribal markets in northern Vietnam . Can Cau attracts a large number of minorities including Flower H’mong, Tay, Nung, and Thai. In the afternoon drive back to Bac Ha and stroll through ethnic villages and visit the ancient palace of a former H’mong King.

Day3 (Sun): BacHa – Sapa

Morning to explore the Sunday market of Bac Ha with its colorful array of ethnic minorities including Flower H’mong, Phu La and Dao Tuyen. Afternoon is free to explore Sapa and the Dragon Mount.

Day 4(Mon): Sapa - Lao Chai - Ta Van - Ta Phin
|

Drive to Lao Chai, the staging point for today's hike. Begin the 6km trek down into a rice-terraced valley. Walk though remote villages, rice paddies and thatched-roof homes of the H’mong. Continue hiking to the village of Ta Van , one of the few villages in Sapa inhabited by the Zay tribe. Return to Sapa along a dramatic winding trail. In the afternoon visit Black H’mong, Zay and Red Dao minorities in picturesque Ta Phin valley.

Day 5 (Tue): Sapa - Lao Cai

The morning is spent to visit Sapa and explore Ham Rong, the mount of the Dragon. In the afternoon, you will have some free time to relax before 4h30pm, time at which your car will drive you back to Lao Cai to board the night train back to Hanoi.

Early arrival in Hanoi, around 5am. a car will pick you up at the train station and drive you to the address of your choice in Hanoi's Old Quarter.
