Except citizens of a few countries, all travelers need an entry Visa in order to come and visit Vietnam. The normal Tourism Visa is a Single Entry Visa valid for 30 days.
In order to obtain this Visa, your passport must still have at least 6 months validity. There are two ways for you to obtain a tourism Visa:
1- Applying for the Visa at the Vietnam Embassy or Consulate in your country: you have to contact the Vietnam Embassy or Consulate by yourself and have them take care of all the Visa arrangements for you. They will take your passport in their custody for a few days (from 5 to 10 working days depending on the Embassy/Consulate) and hand it back to you with the Visa printed in it.
2- Visa on arrival: Instead of contacting the Vietnam Embassy or Consulate in your country, let Indochina-Land take care of everything for you. We will obtain on your behalf an invitation letter from the Vietnam Immigration department. Upon your arrival in Vietnam, you will have to present this letter to the airport immigration police as well as a recent passport size picture. The police will then print the Visa on to your passport with a 25$US fee per person.

- Indochina-Land will contact the Vietnam Immigration Department on your behalf to obtain the Tourism Invitation Letter.
- Five (5) working days later, we will receive the original copy of the Invitation Letter. We will send you a copy via e-mail and keep the original at our offices.
- Upon your arrival in Vietnam, present the Invitation Letter to the Immigration police at the airport with a recent passport size picture for each traveler.
- After applying a 25US$ fee per person, the Immigration Police will print the Visa directly onto your passport.
To take care of all these arrangements, Indochina-Land will charge 25 EUR per visa. In tours, we include that fee in our price quotes. There is also the possibility to arrange a Multiple Entry Tourism Visa. This is in the case you plan to travel in an out of Vietnam more than one time during your trip. For this type of Visa, the price is 50 EUR per visa.
